Britt Raes’ new short film Luce and the Rock is selected for Annecy 2022 to compete in the Young Audience category. The prestigious festival will take place in Annecy, France, May 29 – June 5. 

Other selections came along to top the festivals joy, with Luce and the Rock being selected for JEF (Short Film competition, Belgium), RIGA International Short Film Festival 2ANNAS (Children’s program, Latvia), Brussels Short Film  (National competition, Belgium), Indielisboa (IndieJunior competition, Portugal), Vila Do Conde (Curthinas competition, Portugal) and La Guarimba (La Grotta dei Piccoli competition category, Italy).

Thuristar is coming on board of Goat Girl as coproducer in Belgium! Created by Shannon George and Kristina Yee, Goat Girl is a fun and empowering 52×11 show directed by Krystal Georgiou and Lauri Saunders, and produced by Lindsey Adams at Daily Madness Productions, in coproduction with Hanna Mouchez at MIAM animation and Perrine Gauthier at Thuristar.

Warner Media Kids & Family has now launched the preschool programming block Cartoonito on HBO MAX in the US, featuring Mush-Mush and the Mushables amongst other fantastic programs, available from January 27th 2022

Big news for Luce and the Rock! The film has received a Special Mention at Berlinale 2022, from the children’s jury, who described it as: “A sweet animated film that takes us to a fairy tale-like, colourful and yet literally rocky world. It reminds us that home is not necessarily where you were born, but where you have friends.”

We are honored and thrilled to announce that Mush-Mush is nominated for an International EMMY AWARD® in the Kids Animation category! Winners will be announced during an online presentation on Tuesday October 12, 2021 at 9 a.m. ET on the International Academy’s website: www.iemmys.tv.

Mush-Mush and the Mushables will air on Cartoon Network and HBO Max in the US, as part of the new Cartoonito preschool block, launching on September 13th 2021. 

Cartoonito offers a variety of content that connects kids and their parents through learning and creativity as well as inspiring kids to be their true selves — values that align perfectly with the spirit and intention of the series.

Luce and the Rock, the new short film by Britt Raes, will air on France Télévisions in France. The French public broadcaster is joining two other confirmed broadcasters in Belgium: VRT-Ketnet and RTBF.

Mush-Mush and the Mushables is selected for the Sharjah International Film Festival For Children & Youth dedicated to nurturing the youth’s creativity. The festival will take place 10-15 October, 2021 with a screening of the episode “Fly, Chase, Fly”, written by Tigran Rosine & Benjamin Richard and directed by Joeri Christiaen.

Mush-Mush and the Mushables has been selected for the 26th International Animation Short Film Competition of SCHLiNGEL that will be held 09-16 October, 2021. The episode “The Guardian of the Forest”, written by Joeri Christiaen & An De Guyter and directed by Joeri Christiaen, will screen as part of the Kids Program (4+).

Mush-Mush and the Mushables is selected for the Manchester Animation Festival, the UK’s largest animation event dedicated to celebrating the animated art form ! 

This festival is an online and in venue event hosted at HOME, UK from 14-19 November, with a screening of “The Guardian Of The Forest”, an episode written by Joeri Christiaen & An De Gruyter and directed by Joeri Christiaen.
