The new season of MUSH-MUSH is now available on Warner Bros Discovery’s channels (Boomerang / Cartoonito) and rolling out across 100 EMEA territories in the coming weeks – from Italy, Portugal and Nordic countries, to Central and Eastern Europe, and all of Africa!
“Vive le vent d’hiver!”, the theatrical program of short films distributed by Les Films du Préau, which includes LUCE AND THE ROCK, has reached 100,000 admissions in cinemas in France!

LUCE AND THE ROCK by Britt Raes has just reached the 200 festival selections mark! Big thanks to all the programmers who are showcasing the film around the world. The latest selections include Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur (Switzerland), Skepto International Film Festival (Italy), Legnago Film Festival (Italy), Kino Athens (Greece), Luxcity Film Festival (Luxembourg), Tampere Film Festival (Finland), Plein(s) Ecran(s) (Canada) and the Children Film Festival of Seattle (US).
Thuristar is in the running for the “Producer of the Year” Cartoon Tribute 2023 – a nice statement to the company’s ambitious choices, the quality and diversity of its projects, and its commitment to the animation industry. Exciting times ahead! Britt Raes’ first series LUCE IN THE LOVELY LAND, which is developed by Thuristar and La Cabane, has been selected to be presented at the 2023 Cartoon Forum! The series, based on Britt’s short film LUCE AND THE ROCK, follows the adventures of 6 year-old Luce and her best friend, a giant rock creature, as they wander in the Lovely Land and make unexpected friends. The project is developed in partnership with VRT-Ketnet.
LUCE AND THE ROCK was chosen as the Best European Short Film for Children and Young Audiences at the ECFA Awards, during the 73rd edition of the Berlinale! A big thank you to the ECFA members and to our coproducer Tünde Vollenbroek for representing the film’s team for this occasion.
LUCE AND THE ROCK keeps reaching new heights and is screened at two amazing festivals this week!
The short has been selected to feature in the educational programme of the International Film Festival of Rotterdam, and is also nominated in the Young Audience category at Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival.
2023 already promises to be a great year for LUCE AND THE ROCK! The film has recently been selected for 5 more festivals taking place in the coming weeks and months:
Indiejunior in January, Play Lisbon in February, Monstra Lisbon Animation Festival and Fargo Film Festival in March as well as Psaroloco International Children’s & Young People’s Film Festival in April have all invited the short film to take part in their official competition.
